Explore the delicious range of 11 tasty truffles

Our truffles have a soft and smooth texture that makes them perfect for any application. They are available in different rich flavours that will delight your customers and leave them wanting more. To showcase our range of truffles, we asked Nana to present our truffle range.

Which truffles are available in our range and how do they differ in taste, colour and texture?

– The standard Dark Truffle, which also is a best-seller worldwide, has a rich taste of dark chocolate and exists in two different textures, one with a harder texture and one version with a softer texture suitable for different needs and various climates. In response to the increasing consumer demand for vegan options, we recently developed a vegan version of the Dark Truffle that still has the rich taste of dark chocolate and an equally satisfying texture as our non-vegan options. You can hardly tell the difference between the two. The White Truffle, which has also become one of the standard products in the Truffle range, has a rich taste of vanilla and milk. This flavour also comes in two versions of texture.

In addition to the classic Dark and White Truffle, we offer a wide range of other flavours that really open up to creativity and makes it possible to produce different types of products that attract and satisfy the end consumer. Like our Orange Truffle with a fresh hint of orange, a sweet Caramel Truffle, the tasty Hazelnut Truffle, or the Croquant Truffle with crunchy bites of croquant. Lastly, it think our Ruby Truffle stands out from the rest with its unique pink colour and berry and sweet taste.

And which are your personal favourites?

– When it comes to my personal favourites, choosing just one from our wide range of truffles at Bakels is a difficult task. But, if I had to pick, the Ruby Truffle would be at the top of my list. The unique berry and sweet taste, as well as the pink colour from the real cocoa bean ruby, make it truly stand out.

But Nana can’t choose just one favourite truffle, the Croquant Truffle is also a top pick for her.

– I love the combination of the rich flavour and the hazelnut bits, it makes it truly special.

Another truffle that holds a special place in Nana’s heart is our Vegan Truffle.

– I am proud of this truffle and use it with pleasure. I am able to show many customers how good it is, and that it’s barely different from the regular one. Plus, it’s palm-free too!

How Nana elevates her baking with the truffles

Nana told us that when it comes to baking, she loves using our truffles in a variety of ways.

Can you tell us more about how you incorporate truffles into your baking?

– The Truffles are amazing and so versatile! I can melt them into the batter for a soft and smooth chocolate flavour, or use them as a filling in cookies like a jam cookie but with truffles in it. I even tried baking a chocolate chip cookie with them and it worked great!

When I bake cakes, I like to use the truffles as a filling for a luxurious touch. And for flavouring mousse, I melt and mix the truffles into the cream.

To put the finishing touches on a cake, she likes to top the cake with melted truffle. And since our truffles can be whipped, she also recommends piping the truffle for decorating your cakes and pastries.

Nana highlights that our truffles are also an ideal choice as a topping for doughnuts.

– We have many customers who use our truffles as toppings for their doughnuts on large-scale industrial lines. They work really well for that application too, and gives the doughnuts a non-sticky surface! The possibilities are endless, as they can be used for a wide range of applications in baking.

The perfect match for Bakels truffles

Who would you recommend our truffles to?

– Our truffles are suitable for everyone, from small businesses to larger industries. The smallest pail comes in 6 kg, but we can also accommodate larger orders of several hundred kilos in an IBC tank. And with a shelf life of 12 months, you can trust that the quality will remain high even if you don’t use them on a daily basis.

Tailoring our truffles to fit your unique preferences and requirements

Did you know that we offer a tailored approach to larger industrial customers? We understand that every business is unique and has its own specific needs and preferences. And with our product developer Tobias Lundell, we can help you get the truffles that fit your specific needs. When it comes to creating the perfect truffle, he clarifies that it all starts with understanding what the customer wants.

How can we adapt to the specific needs of customers when it comes to our truffles?

– As a product developer, I am guided by what the customer wants. We already offer a range of truffles with different properties, but we also have the ability to tailor products to specific customer needs. This often involves adjusting the texture of the truffle to meet the specific needs of a business or application. Some customers may need a truffle that is sugar-free, contains natural flavouring, or is made with or without palm oil. We can also offer different kinds of packaging depending on the unique customer requirement. Our Truffles usually come in 6 kg pails, but we can also offer larger packaging suitable for industrial use.

“We are very flexible,” says Tobias, highlighting the company’s ability to cater to a wide range of specific customer needs.

Nana’s final tips

Nana, do you have any final tips and tricks when it comes to our truffles?

– Absolutely!

1. When I use our truffles, I like to store them at room temperature for a couple of hours before to make them easier to work with. This also makes them soft and nice to handle. However, if I’m going to melt it, I just microwave it for a minute or so.

2. If I’m going to cover a cake with truffles, I always put buttercream underneath to help the truffles set better and stay in place. If I don’t use buttercream, I would whip the truffle instead. Then I can also make a nice pattern and texture more easily!

3. I love to flavour the cream with any truffle to get a smooth and nice filling for the cake that adds an extra touch of luxury!

Psst… Did you know this?

All truffles contain segregated palm oil in accordance with Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, RSPO (except Truffle Dark Vegan PF which of course is completely free from palm oil).
